My observations of tonight's game

Washburn is still a disaster. SDCC has one guy who stands 6'7" and a bunch of guys who are about 6 feet and he still can't rebound well. He played virtually the entire game and only grabbed 10.

The only guy who seems to have a real good feel for a team game is Blake Wilkinson. He sets good picks, took two charges and has good spacing on help D. But he lacks an offensive threat and lacks athleticism.

We have no one who can shoot the ball. Hines would be our best shooter. As it stands now, Storey is our best shooter and he is average at best.

Matthews is absolutely lost. It baffles me how a kid can play 10 years of organized basketball and be such a poor fundamental player.

Martin looks ok. He can't shoot, but has long arms and runs the floor well.

Jiggy is our best offensive threat, but we played better when K moved Jiggy to the two and let Storey run the offense. Storey had a couple WTF passes that might work in junior jazz but are inexplicable at the D-1 level. I like Storey though.

Odunsi threw up a crazy airball from the 3. He can't shoot a lick and he lacks defensive fundamentals, but he is a terrific athlete.

Dawson can barely get up the court. I don't expect to see him next year.

More people at the game than I expected.

It will be interesting to see if we improve. That is the only thing I am looking for this year.
