Personally I think we should have received more out of our agreement with the PAC-12 when this deal was originally formed.
I mean, we are Utah and we are entitled to whatever we damn well see fit. To think that our inclusion in the conference benefits the entire conference more than us......exactly, we were in the driver's seat and we should have gotten more out of this agreemnent.
We could have courted any conference in the nation and they would have been lucky to have us.....
The PAC-10 came to us and we really should have used that to leverage our demands.
I would have at least liked to have seen the following:
1- pepsi needs to replace coke as the cola of choice, this is a no brainer and I am sure pepsi would have jumped at the chance of this since we are Utah.
2- heated toilet seats, yes this would be nice and to think that this wasn't at the top of the list when our administrators were talking with conference officials is ridiculous.
3- no away games, other teams are lucky to have us as conference mates, they should be the ones that have to travel to us......end of discussion.
4- alcohol sales at RES- oh wait, this already takes place....nevermind.
5- escalators- I think we should have required that our new conference pay for escalators, rip out all the old stairs in the stadium.
Honestly, to the outsider looking in these requirements really aren't that difficult to envision being met.
If our new conference wasn't willing to at least consider these demands I'm beside myself how we even came to an agreement in the first place....I mean come on, this is a slap in our face as a university, fan base, state and an affront to us as human beings that these demands weren't met.
I expected more than this and it may take some time for me to forgive and forget for what has taken place. As of right now I am a utah fan as opposed to a UTAH fan....
