So now what happens to the 2004 national title?

Well Utah Auburn and Oklahoma all have a claim. I believe Auburn and Utah would both have destroyed Oklahoma that year even though they made the National title. I think if you wanted to go back in time and change that game you would have Utah vs. Auburn for the national title. Maybe Utah should share the national title with Auburn of 2004. I think Utah would have given USC a better run than what Oklahoma did and so would Auburn.

NEW: Last night, the ticker on the bottom of the ESPN page endlessly reported that Auburn went undefeated in 2004 without any mention at all of Utah. (nm)
