Here's my thing. I think can be way too sensitive when it comes to race, but this was just stupid on ESPN's part.

Somebody up there has to know that this is going to bring a ton of $#!+ on them. Maybe it was not the perfect racial slur (seeing as it didn't get the Sfork stamp of approval), but it doesn't matter. People are on them like flys on $#!+ now about this.

480ute icon NEW: It's a spot on Asian/American basketball star Jeremy Lin. The headline reads "Chink in the Armor." If you don't understand then I just don't know what to do for you sforky. (nm)

480ute icon NEW: Nope, I understand that. I'd have a hard time believing this was done unintentionally with no racial connotation whatsoever. BTW, many people are ignorant to differing countries in Asia, and usually lump them together.

SforkUte icon NEW: I think he would prefer to be called a "Tai Bau" before he was called a "chink/chinc". Native Taiwanese don't like to be clumped together with their mainland boys. (nm)

480ute icon NEW: Read my post below. I didn't say they're racist (this is like the 3rd time I've had to say it). ESPN was stupid for putting it out there, because people are going to jump on it. And guess what, it's all over the place right now. (nm)

480ute icon NEW: I never said they were racist. I do believe it was stupid on ESPN's part to run this, and that is being proven by all of the flack they are receiving. Google it, and you'll see.
