...it'll be a Reagan/Mondale type ass-kicking...except neither will even carry their home states. They'll get Oklahoma and Utah...unless their desperation to overcome Romney gets them attacking the LDS Church. In that case, Donald Trump carries Utah.

Romney could go either way...but probably still ends up with Obama in a walk. Romney's only hope in the General is that after he wraps up the Republican nomination, he can return to being Moderate Mitt. The Mitt who knows how to turn bad things around. The Mitt who knows how to make money. The Mitt who might actually (gulp) work with Democrats (Aaaaaaaaah) to actually get things done.

The Primary Republicans hate that Mitt...and the threat of what I described above is why they're so desperate to try to nominate anybody but him. They may be close to succeeding. Even if Mitt can pull out the nomination, a lot of the far-right may feel like he's turning his back on them with the campaign he'll have to run for the General, and shift to some 3rd party guy like Paul running as a Libertarian....In which case, Obama still RUTS.

So, I go back to what I've been stating all along when these candidates were paraded out....Apparently nobody is more dedicated to getting President Obama a 2nd term than the Republican Party.
