Yes I know the Red and White game is technically a practice but after going to both for most of this spring I can tell you I had a lot more fun at the practices. You really got to see the dynamics of a play and the true emotions from the coaching staff. Players were more outgoing and overall it was just a lot more fun.

Now that I've said that let me say anybody who takes anything away from yesterdays scrimmage is worried too much. It's Spring and we still have over 130 days left until the first game. I'm not worried about anything anywhere with this team. As far as I'm concerned this was a fun game for the fans, not too organized, not to conservative just a fun pick-up game to play some football.

Lastly, did anybody see the steady stream of fans piling in through portal 33 at about 2:25? WTF was that? Possibly over 200-300 people just hiking the stairs one after another with about a minute left in the game. It was obvious they were all just arriving but I have a couple questions. Who the #%!@ shows up with 30 seconds left? Why were you all entering the same portal? While they were hiking their way up, the game ended and my friend and I exited portal 32 (which was wide open incidentally) and saw the line of people attempting to enter portal 33 which went for a ways inside the concourse. In fact, every single portal around the concourse was wide open except for this single portal 33 which was jammed pack full of people. Did these people just see a line and get in it? Damn sheep, that's something Zoobs do.

As for the attendance figures I'd guess around 15k but it's difficult to tell since most fans sat in the red seats and most fans had red shirts. I had fun, I brought a friend of mine who's a huge (and I mean that, he's over 450#) Utah fan who doesn't generally go to games (money, crowds, etc...). He had a great time and wants to come to a game this season so overall a success. I believe the game was to boost the excitement of the program and as for that, job accomplished.
