I live in Seattle which has a very liberal population. You'll see Obama bumper stickers and posters all over the place. Same thing with Oregon and northern California.
I'm a middle-of-the-road conservative and unless something outlandish happens, will be voting for Romney. I do look at all candidates from all parties before voting and in fact voted Green Party last time.
But I get what you're saying. People don't look at candidates for who they are and what they can bring to the table any longer. It's strictly Republican vs. Democrat. And a whole lot of ugliness to go around with that polarization.
