Thanks for your tips but I caved. I can't sleep and I need to get this rant out of my system. First, thank you local hacks for telling me how "hurt" I should be because of this. I gave blood, sweat and tears for the U. I've been in the game. I also

have had my season tickets triple in price over the last 5 years, while TDS tickets end up as groupons. There's not a bigger fan than myself, and I am not missing out because we aren't playing an average independent football team. I think Air Force had become every bit the "rival" TDS was. After all, Mr. Benson, we didn't blow AF out of the water three different times in the past 7 years. As a Crimson Club member and season ticket holder, I love my Utes more than any one opponent, and I want 7 and 8 home games per season. Thanks for your concern about me missing out on playing TDS but I think the likes of Michigan, USC, Oregon, CAL, Stanford, UCLA etc. will help fill that void of the missing TDS game.
Mr. Courtesy Call, pointing his finger at Dr. Hill and blaming Utah is like my 5 year old crying after his sister "hit him." After you investigate, you find out that he instigated the whole thing, and then he tried to blame his sister. The "lap dog" media and Holmoe are blaming Utah while they did NOTHING to help preserve the game. Look a holes, don't you think Dr. Hill knows that Utah football is the hottest ticket in town? So why only play 6 home games per year and alternate home and home with TDS if you can get 7, possibly 8 home games per year? Just because your pride wouldn't allow you sign 2 for 1's with Utah doesn't mean you're blameless in this.
For you Mr. Benson an answer to you lack of comprehension as to why Utah to the PAC instead of TDS, try this one on for size. TWO BCS bowl game victories. With one huge Sugar Bowl win over Satan (intended) and Alabama. Along with Dr. Hill saying "We want in the PAC 12 so bad, we'll take less of a payout over the first 3 seasons." What a novel concept, humility and gratitude. Considering that TDS allowed their pride cost them 2 opportunities to find a conference. The last one, left people talking about how "difficult TDS" is to deal with. Just remember Mr. Benson, in the late 80's as the SWC was dissolving and the BIG 12 evolved, TDS fan liked to inform Utah fans about how they were going to either the PAC or the new BIG 12 and how they wouldn't "need" us anymore on their schedule. To that I say KARMA really bites. We've left our tired, washed up girlfriend, for a PAC of new hotties and it won't be hard to fill the void. Look on the bright side Mr. Benson and Monson, we'll always have our memories and your sorry articles in the archives we can read about the "glorious" olden days.
Last but not least, if TDS hadn't acted like a jealous ex-girlfriend and they didn't "knee jerk" into independence and they stuck in the MWC with TCU and Boise maybe we wouldn't be having this conversation. BTW that KARMA thing really stings when you consider how TCU and Boise have blasted past your sorry, self loathing, 1984 worshiping selves.
This pause, is Dr. Hill firing a warning shot across the bow. His message, I believe, to TDS is "you'll play by our rules or we won't play." Holmoe and the "lap dogs" don't know how to react. So they do what my 5 year does, blame it on his sister, while he's the one who is responsible.
Suck on that Mr. Benson.
