Colt McCoy redshirted his freshman year, and then has started since then.
Even Kellen Moore at Boise State started as a redshirt freshman, not as a true freshman.

Utah (McBride) blew Alex Smith's freshman year by playing him for a portion of the San Diego State game.

I personally think it would be better for the program to have Wynn redshirt his freshman year. If he is equal to Cain or Louks, then you would have to play him, and Louks would reprise his "running QB" role, and Cain serves as able back-up.

Louks might seal his fate depending on how many TO's he committs

NEW: I appreciate the sentiment, but IMO, our track record for reloading isn't *that* strong yet. We won't know if we've reloaded this year until well into the season or even season's end.
