This is why people don't like LeBron He says it isn't about the money, but if it wasn't, there would never have been this discussion. It would never have been brought up.
This is according to ESPN's recruiting page but I am seeing that of the 41 that have taken official visits, 16 ended up committing elsewhere, with 6 still yet to commit.

This obviously doesn't list all of the commits that we have (it only list 18 commits vs the 28 that we have), but I would say that isn't too bad. Seems to me that just getting them to campus, and getting them with the team does something for them. I take that as a good sign. I think we have a great recruiting staff, with plenty of room for improvement, but I think that is something to be happy about. Maybe I'm wrong and I have no idea what I am talking about, and maybe that is a terrible percentage though. I don't follow recruiting as closely as I wish I did.
Is anyone else slightly disturbed by the fact that Katherine Webb, AJ McCarron's girlfriend, had only a few hundred twitter followers before the game, and nearly 150K after the game? Mostly because of Musburger?
Interesting article, despite the typos. I didn't know the teams could negotiate payout. Potentially that could work out. Obviously the payout wouldn't be anything that great, but it potentially could be something, IF they win on friday.
My wife and I received the unfortunate news that her great uncle passed away, and his funeral will be at 1 on Friday. He was an incredibly smart man and was a member of Mensa, but unfortunately in his later years, he started to develop late onset schizophrenia.
Obviously supporting her family comes first, but I'm glad that the DVR has been invented so I can still watch the Utes.
I haven't said much about DVC, and I don't recall what I have said about him, but I take it all back. He seems to have recognized the problem, and is working to correct it. Best of luck to him.

"I'm basically being myself, coming out here, being happy with a positive attitude," he said. "Our backs are to the wall, it'smy senior year and all that type of stuff and I've got to come out here and practice hard. My downfall has been my practice habits and I'm trying my best to correct them."
Just got a text from ESPN saying that Tennessee's probation was extended 2 years for violations during Kiffin's year there.

I have never understood why the NCAA would punish a school because of a guy that is no longer at that school, especially when he is still a NCAA head coach. They are punishing the Vols players that in large part, weren't even there in 2009. Just seems silly. I don't doubt that there were violations, and I feel that someone should be punished for it, but it shouldn't be players that had little/nothing to do with it.
I sat on the east side against WSU, about the northern 27 yard line. It was not loud at all. I was a bit disappointed after having sat in the MUSS for 6 years, and the NEZ for a couple. Even in the games I sat on the west side was louder than them.

I did my best to make up for it, but I couldn't do it alone. I would love to see them stand up once in a while. Plus then the 0.1% of me that felt bad for standing up and blocking their view would go away.
I think it's been long known that JWIV gets his big chunk yards in the fourth quarter. As much as I love John, and what he has done for the program,

I would like to see York get the majority of carries in the first half, then once the defenses are worn down, send in John White. It's my opinion that with the O-line in the condition it is in, although it is improving, and not being able to create big holes, and John seemingly having trouble hitting the right hole, it would be better to have the guy that can make his own holes (York) carrying the ball.
I make this statement knowing full well that I don't know much about football, these are just layman observations. If I am wrong, tell me why, so I can stop making a fool of myself.
I am going to be getting a new phone and new carrier next month, I will be going with Sprint.

My question though, is besides the OS, what are the main differences between the iPhone and the Galaxy S3. They are the two phones I like the most and I will likely be going with one or the other. I have been an android guy up to this point, but the fact that android batteries suck has me thinking iPhone. What are the pros and cons of each? And is there a website that does a good job of explaining all this?
Probably my favorite part of Ted Miller's chat yesterday:

Rob (NC)
If Travis Wilson starts this weekend in Rice-Eccles, does that mean Utah has thrown in the towel for the season, or he's really that good?
Ted Miller (4:01 PM)
No, it means that Whittingham/Johnson think he gives the Utes their best chance to win. There is no towel throwing. Utah has plenty left to play for. Grief... just one loss folks.
Seriously though, it was just one loss. And Utah looked pretty bad. But even still, it's just one out of conference loss, and our goal of winning the conference is still intact. It seems more difficult unless the o-line makes some changes and improves this week, the goal is still possible.
I don't know if this was by design or not, but it seemed that it was intentional that Nick Marsh was not kicking it into the end zone, which resulted in a much worse starting field position for UNC. I also didn't realize that in addition to the new kick off spot on the 35, touchback are now taken out to the 25.
Very sneaky plan you have there Kyle....and I like it!
I have been talking with Brett and he is on board. He is going to be contacting retailers to guage interest. I suggested that perhaps we could contribute a portion of the sales of the shirt to a heart disease organization, or a heart transplant organization (since he is likely going to need a transplant). Brett said he would also get in contact with athletics to see their interest level about bringing Big Rick to a game, if possible.
As many have said, it would be best if we kept the design simple, with just the red line and the DnF, but I think that we should be seeing them on the racks soon!
I know others, I can't remember who, have been trying to move this along too, with retailer friends. If you are able to get this together sooner than I am, that is great. Brett just wanted to make sure that they were being made with the proper licenses. In his words, "...if we are going to get someone to do it the right way we need to make sure they don't have illegal ones."
I took it upon myself to email Brett Eden in the trademarks department about the Big Rick Sweater. Here is what he said.

I am sure this is something we can get made, that is the easy part. I'll plant a seed and see if retailers are interested. Do you have suggestions?
Thank you,
Brett
So the question is do we have any preferred retailers for the shirt/sweater?
